This was an assignment for school; create an app showing the program of North Sea Jazz festival. So in this assignment, North Sea Jazz was the ‘fake’ client.
North Sea Jazz festival is a three day jazz festival. But to truly understand the client, I had to understand what jazz is; a very broad improvisation-based music style. Music of the moment.
Challenge/goal
The challenge was making the app suitable for the very broad target audience, young and old. I wanted to make it modern, as jazz is music of the moment, but not too modern because of the older public.
